| Summer thunderstorms backing up along the front range of the Rockies can be particularly violent, and heavy rain, deadly lightning and big hail is common south of Denver towards Palmer Lake. Racing ahead of the atmospheric malestrom is this southbound Santa Fe freight approaching Palmer Lake led by B23-7 6414, trailed by two SD39's often found in Joint Line service and a trio of other EMD SD's. |
