Remarks & Notes
Two SD40-2s idle near the west end of Lubbock yard, awaiting assignment. The snoot 6770 was completed in November 1979, serial number 786223-2, as AT&SF 5111, housing RCE remote (slave) equipment, as were all odd-numbered units from this order. It exhibits Phase IIb1 features. She was renumbered to BNSF 6770 on January 4, 1998. The 6842 is a Phase IIa2 SD40-2, completed in July 1978, serial number 776109-3, as one of only eight SD40-2s built for the Frisco, the 952.
