Remarks & Notes

Cold temperatures cause sticking brakes. Sticking brakes make for hot wheels. Hot wheels in deep snow produce steam. This train, heading for Two Harbors on the Iron Range Sub, had several hot wheels, one of which is clearly visible in the photo.
