| Southern Pacific GP9 3852 was built by EMD in April 1959 as SP 5826. In the SP's 1965 renumbering scheme, it was assigned number 3689. In July 1977 the engine was released from the railroad's Sacramento upgrade program as number 3852. This engine was sold in February 1996 to Progress Rail. |
