| A look inside of Fort Eustis 612. Fort Eustis #612, a former US Army consolidation, arrived at Cass serviceable in 1972. It sat in the yard for several years, in 1985 funds were secured for repairs that would make it operable so that it could haul tourists on the former C&O line from Cass to Durbin, that same year a flood wiped out the line, thus killing the future of 612 at Cass. Fast forward to 2010, she may now have another chance at life after being bought by a new owner. She will leave Cass by truck in the Spring. |
