Remarks & Notes
Copper capped chimneys and burnished brass safety valve covers. These are the two defining characteristics of former Great Western Railway locomotives and a tradition carried forward from the dawn of the steam age. Now in her 85th year, 5643 sports these hallmarks with pride and so she should looking for all the world as if she had emerged from Swindon works only yesterday.
