The Chattanooga Choo-Choo Steam Special ran from Atlanta to Chattanooga, a distance of approximately 115 miles each way. Canadian Pacific Class H1c 4-6-4 2839, one of the famous Royal Hudsons, headed the excursion. Montreal built CPR 2839 rode on 75" drivers, had a boiler pressure of 275psi, 22x30 inch cylinders, and generated 45,250 lbs of tractive effort. Here she is waiting to depart Atlanta.
