| A BNSF coal load crests the summit of the Palmer Divide. From this perspective you can see the many curves used to crest the summit from the south. the dirt trail on the opposite side of the lake is the former Santa Fe mainline removed in 1974. If one looks closely you can see the headend in the far left about half way up the photograph. |
