Remarks & Notes
Morning departure

A few kilometers after leaving the city of Arica (that can be seen in the background) the Arica-Tacna “ “ “international passenger train” ” ” has just crossed the bridge over the river Lluta. The massive structure was recently rebuilt very strong so as to sustain the occasional powerful flood coming down the Andes. The only traffic crossing it is this antiquated railcar, 4 times per day, 6 days per week. A few kilometers more and the train will be in Peru.
