New England's Mountain Railroad. This is New England Mountain Railroading! Forget the B&M and B&A over the Berkshires. Maine Central's Mountain Division through Crawford Notch is an excellent display of the building challenges faced when crossing White Mountains, and beautiful scenery, a staple of this region. And, this is what it looks like when the area is under siege by the many hikers and bikers, who enjoy the many challenges that the White Mountains bring them. Today's Notch Train has made its way up the grade from Conway and finishes accent here in Crawford, where it will then retrun to Conway.
