| An empty BNSF train heads toward the Black Thunder mine for another load of coal while a grass fire burns in the foreground. A passing loaded UP coal train on the wye track nearest to me caused some sparks and ignited the grass. I called 911 and the BNSF emergency line and the local fire department showed up to battle this blaze for the next several hours. The tire tracks on the right side of the photo are from one of the fire trucks. |
