| Remarks & Notes |
| A hodgepodge of power--typical of Pan Am Southern manifests these days--leads ST Train MOED east over the Hoosic River in Schaghticoke, NY. This train was a monster (6 engines, 127 cars, over 11,000 tons) and featured both "new" and "old" Pan Am/Guilford power (not all of which could fit into the frame): leader MEC SD40-2 #608 (former KCS/TFM), B&M GP40 #334, HLCX SD40-2 #6428, HLCX SD40-2 #6400, MEC GP40 #371, and MEC GP40 #376. The train was actually manned by the local RJ-1 crew based out of Rotterdam Junction, NY and would tie-down at Hoosick Junction, NY for another crew to take it further east. |
