Remarks & Notes
How would you like an EMD SD60M rambling a few feet from your living room? Union Pacific's LUL57 'Lynndyl local' is in the process of setting out a load of fertilizer along a short spur track leading to the Intermountain Farmers Association Distribution Center west of Payson, Utah. The big SD's and covered hopper have left the Payson siding and are backing along the spur across Utah County 44th West street. Historically this trackage was built in 1913 to access a new sugar factory that was subsequently shut down in 1924. It's a wonder the seldom used spur track has survived to this day.
