On May 14, 2004, while hauling a Grain Train from Dirranbandi to Toowoomba, QR 2121F and 1722D collided with a truck and were damaged extensively. In the six years this Locomotive has been in storage is has been used for many spare parts as can be seen in this photo. This Locomotive is stored near numerous M Series Passgengers Cars which have been condemned due to excessive rust. Unfortunately, the line to Dirranbandi is now closed due to a washout during the summer rain period this year.
