Remarks & Notes
After overhaul/re-engineering at Redbank Workshops, EMU 87 performs a 250km Reliability Run to Caboolture and Ipswich running almost spot-on time as CityTrain #21A1. This Unit still bears the scars (on Car EM387) from an incident in Mayne Yard on Sunday July 22, 2007 when the rotary compressor caught on fire. In October 2007, she performed Acceptance Testing after repairs and re-entered revenue service. As the privatisation of QRNational (Coal and Freight) draws closer on July 1, 2010, rumours of a new logo for Queensland Rail (Passenger) have surfaced and overhauled Units have been left logoless.
