| Waters of the Pamlico River lap against the shore, sea gulls screech in the air, the smell of loaded wood chip hoppers is carried along by the breeze, and the old trestle across the river groans in protest as a CLNA train slowly heads out of the late afternoon sun on its way back to Plymouth.
