Remarks & Notes
Downhill from Cumbre Pass

Slowly snaking downhill toward Mejillones Harbor, this train is full of precious ore that will soon be shipped over the Pacific Ocean. The lead power is a former Australian locomotive. In its previous life, it was Queensland Government Railways #2119. Built in 1971 in Australia by Clyde under EMD licence it was shipped from Brisbane to Chile in Sept 2001.
