Remarks & Notes
This is the largest operating steam locomotive that calls Alabama home: the "Dame Ann," a 2-foot gauge 0-4-2 tank engine, built new at the Exmoor Steam Railway Shops in England in 2004 for the Wales West Light Railway and RV Park. The engine takes visitors on a journey around the property, located in rural Baldwin County, near the Gulf Coast in extreme southern Alabama. On this particular day it was taking kids to visit the Easter Bunny at a flag stop along the line. More information can be found about this charming operation at: www.waleswest.com

I've been fortunate enough to see many operating steam locomotives. This album contains one representative shot of each steam locomotive I've photographed in action and uploaded to this website since beginning digital photography in 2004.
