| Late morning is often a busy time on the south side of the Canal Street Wye. With Metra traffic quieting down until the afternoon rush, BNSF coal such as this one and UP trains originating/terminating at Canal St. compete for track space with Amtrak's continual churning of trains (such as the terminated Capitol Limited, backing through the wash house) and locomotives (the three light locomotives heading to the Diesel Facility. |
