| It's journey from the run around track at Wallsburg complete, Heber Valley Railroad's 'Tube and Train' has come to a stop at the depot and yard at Heber City. The UP 1011 was restored in it's glossy 'Challenger' livery last May. This EMD NW-2 was built for the Union Pacific in 1940 and served it's owner well until retirement from service in 1977. It would soon be donated to the state of Utah that year, and has served faithfully in the Beehive State for nearly 33 years! Not a bad service life (approaching 70 years) for a humble little diesel yard goat. |
