| After the Soo bought the Milwaukee they found themselves in possession of "gasp" more GE's. These units, mainly U30C's, U23B's and U36C's had been out of service and stored at the Milwaukee, WI shops for awhile. For some reason the Soo choose to drag them up to Shoreham and they were shoved out in the back lot along with a few of the last Soo F7's and some out of service GP30's. They were finally sold to GE in 1989 and then had to be made ready for the trip to Erie where some of them actually were rebuilt into the GE Super 7 type units. |
