| The rare-mileage run to Garcia (35 miles) over the Tijuana y Tecate, nears the station in Campo. The museum provided tramles de pescado y tamales de pollo, as we traveled through Lindero, Tecate, La Puerta, Rita, and over the Redondo Loops. We stopped for passengers both at the restored Tecate depot and at a Coca Cola maquiladora. We also passed alongside Rodriguez Dam, where we had hoped to do a run by (but this was cancelled by the Mexican pilot who was worried about our running time). |
