Remarks & Notes
Two Minnesota "firsts" are displayed at the Lake Superior Railroad Museum in Duluth. The 4-4-0 "William Crooks" was the first steam locomotive in the State of Minnesota, arriving by boat in 1861. The little 0-4-0T "Minnetonka" was built by Porter in 1870, and was the first locomotive on the Northern Pacific.
