| Don’t let the big GE’s fool you, CSX may be a Class I, but their operations in Eastern NC are all branchlines. Six days a week, F728 ferries cars collected by locals from Greenville up to the A-Line in Rocky Mount. Today’s train, just shy of 40 cars, trundles through classic rural coastal plain farmland and pine forests on its northbound morning trip. In the early evening, the crew will return southeast to Greenville and their day will be done. |
