| Southern Pacific's famed "Coast Daylight" (known as the "most beautiful train in the world"), train 99, ascends the grade at Chatsworth as it heads from the San Fernando Valley northward (railroad west) on its journey from Los Angeles to San Francisco. A GS-4 class 4-8-4 is in charge of the train this day. |
