| On a rare clear Fall day, the last sun of the day lights Mt. Rainer while Dead Freight West hurries to Tacoma pulled by five SD40-2’s, #25, 175, 137, 164, 27. This section of railroad through the Kent Valley was jointly owned by the Union Pacific and is probably the best track this train traversed in several days during its long transcontinental journey. |
