To most in the Boston area, Wachusett means "Mountain Skiing, Minutes Away." To the railfans, however, Wachusett means a good spot to photograph westbounds climbing the hill to Gardner. Those of us who enjoy both skiing and railfanning will occasionally hear heavy westbounds passing this spot from the nearby ski lifts.
