| Remarks & Notes |
| Running as Extra NS 16 South, "Original" Norfolk Southern No. 63 is in detour movement on Seaboard Coast Line tracks departing Raleigh, NC due to a major derailment at NS's Buckhorn Creek trestle near Corinth, NC. Four NS GP18's and a Baldwin AS-416 in tow, are starting their uphill climb out of the capital city with a heavy train enroute Colon, NC where they will rejoin the NS mainline for Charlotte, NC. |
