| Pausing for "one more photo", Wheeling & Lake Erie Railway Conductor Fran Maslonek lines his short train in on the Mifflin Branch one last time here in snowy southwestern Pennsylvania. Today is Frans last trip East following in the remnants of where he hired out 39 years ago and where this photographer also started out this fascination in the P&WV also some 39+ years ago.
From the Mifflin Branch to the Clairton and West End Branches...to all those trips to Hagerstown...and for a time working the former trackage into the eastern Ohio coal fields of Georgetown, Maynard and that fancy place called AC&NA Junction...
