| This is the last day the agency at Appalachia, VA was open. Agent-operator Theo Rowlette strikes a pose on the loading platform at the freight station, where the agency was housed after the nearby depot was closed in 1956. The building is still standing today, but it's an empty shell that is beyond restoration. |
