| Like most Europen railroads the Italian "FS" for "Ferrovie dello Stato" had nice electric old-timers which were in service well into the 1980's. The 428 series was a 2-B-B-2 and was composed of 3 sub-series with distinctive shapes built between 1934 and 1943. This unit #059 belongs to the first sub-series which had a total of 122 units. |
