Remarks & Notes
A scene at the National Tramway Museum in Crich, Dervyshire. Southampton Tramways no. 45 arrives at the terminus. This tram, built in 1905 was originally built with an open top. Later, it had a roof fitted to the top deck. Later still, the roof was removed! This was done to enable it to pass under a lowbridge in the town. I hope the passengers kept their heads down. In 1949, when the tramway system closed, a group of enthusiasts bought the tram for £10. This was the start of the National tramway Museum, which was eventually established ten years later. I'm afraid I don't know what type of car is parked on the right. Although I am a consultant vehicle engineer, I have no interest whatsoever in cars of any kind .
