| This is the result of a serious sideswipe incident between a loaded aluminum hopper and something else. Not only did much of the coal spill from the gapping hole created by the collision, the loss of the vertical members (side ribs) on the car destroyed much of the structural integrity of the car, causing the center sill to buckle from the weight. Not a pretty sight. |
