| Even at 8PM on a Tuesday night the South Amboy station is still bustling with activity as commuters return home from the city and people wait to head north for the night. This scene will soon disappear when the new station is put into service in late 2009/early 2010. The new station includes high-level platforms and an all-enclosed walkway that is already open. The future of the ex-NY&LB station building and walkway are still unknown. |
