| This eastbound CSX unit coal train is moments from taking the diverging route to the NS-CSX (Clinchfield) connection at Frisco, TN. Quite a few NS units are shown, waiting for Monday morning assignments. Until CTC was extended here in 1986, the yard office housed a continuous operator, a mobile agent and a clerk--as well as the trainmaster, road foreman of engines and maintenance of way supervisors. Today, many of these positions are gone---and Frisco is locked up. |
