| He could be the most cantankerous guy you'd ever want to meet. From obnoxious as the devil to as nice as Fred Rodgers. Just shy of 40 Years of Railroading, Wheeling & Lake Erie Railway Conductor Harry O. Buck retires Friday July 31, 2009. Harry worked out Wheeling & Lake Erie's - Rook Yard. I'd love to download everything Harry has seen and done in his 40 Years on the former Pittsburgh & West Virginia. From riding the hotshot Alphajets into and out of Connellsville...to hauling 100 car grain trains into Connellsville after clawing their way up and over the West Side Belt. From fancy Western Maryland locomotives...to N&W's beastly SD-45's...to Wheelings high hood GP-35's...To banging around in a caboose speeding West towards Pittsburgh Junction enroute to Brewster with grain empties...Harry has been there and done it all.
