The newest (built June 1966) of the WP&YR's GE built shovelnose diesels leads one of the cruise ship morning excursion trains past the station headed up the pass. Waiting to the right is the power for the other cruise ship train waiting to couple on and leave. These narrow gauge locomotives have to be among the oddest operating on US soil today... |
