| This is the main artery to the north of Scotland. The river, railway, road and power all share this narrow valley as they climb north. Tackling the steep ascent at a steady 10mph is veteran EE Type 3 37670 with a heavy load of ballast, which will be used in maintaining the wonderfully scenic line to Kyle of Lochalsh. |
