| On a frigid evening in January 1994, an eastbound Santa Fe stack train works upgrade into Abo Canyon and the sunset and across the first of seven bridges it will cross in the canyon. Ladrón Peak "Thief" in the Sierra Ladrones "thieves' mountains", named for it's use by Apache raiding parties, is visible on the horizon across the Rio Grande Valley. |
