This 136 years old unique cogwheel steamlocomotive will steam up the Rigi mountain regularly this summer! Built as number 1 by the Swiss Locomotive and Machine Works in 1873 for the (Vitznau-) Rigi-Bahn, this vehicle is an exhibition in the Swiss Transport Museum in Lucerne, but for the 50th anniversary of this museum, the locomotive is guest again on the tracks of the Rigibahnen. Today there were brake tests on the 20,0 % grade above Kräbel station.
