The photographers son, Sam Smedley, poses with the Peoria & Western Railway coal train, stalled on Rawalts Hill East of Canton, Illinois with the classic power of FP9A, GP8 and four GP20R's The train is bound for the Duck Creek Power Station south of Canton, Illinois.
The first attempt at the hill with 67 cars, stalled, with the crew having to triple the first half of the train.
