| The REAL UP: hurry, hurry, HURRY! The shooter on the left has just completed their setout of 2 cars of "french fries" as the dispatcher called it, and another eastbounder is waiting to pull in after he leaves. The HF on the right is making a run for the hill as he just confirmed to the dispatcher that he could keep his speed on the Colores south track; there is 1 shooter coming off the hill on the north track at Hermosa, and 1 close behind at Dale Jct lined down the Red Buttes line. The shooter has also assured the dispatcher that he will exit as quickly as he can in front of that 2nd westbound. Watching those TOFCs sway through the turnouts at CP565 confirmed their haste. But it's just another day on the hill; nothing stops and the yellows are few.... |
