| Remarks & Notes |
| Filler up and check the oil, please! A tanker offers a quad of Utah Railway MK50-3's diesel fuel prior to departure from Provo yard. A crew bus has just delivered a UP engineer and conductor to pilot this 91 car unit coal train the 95 mile journey down the Sharp Subdivision and the IPP Industrial Lead, ending at the Intermountain Power generating station near Lynndyl, Utah. In the background, snowy Mt. Timpanogos rises to meet the clouds and sky at 11,749 ft. above sea level. If you look to the right of the cab of UR 5004, the tail end of the train can be spotted along the old wye that connects the former D&RGW to the UP at Ironton. |
