Remarks & Notes
The Del Monte departs San Francisco on its daily journey to Monterey. Apparently the usually assigned streamlined chair car was bad order, so a heavyweight Harriman sub was substituted to go through to Monterey. The gallery car is for local traffic between San Francisco and San Jose, where it will be removed, with the parlor-lounge and sub continuing on. This location was once the site of Mission Bay tower, and Mission Bay roundhouse was off to the right. It is now underneath an elevated freeway, and the track is owned by CalTrain.
