Remarks & Notes
Welcome Home!

Under a different owner, a set of former NJ Transit Comet I coaches return to their home state on SEPTA's R3 West Trenton Line. These coaches were sold to SEPTA during 2008 and still sport their black NJ Transit window bands. Originally purchased for the Erie Lackawanna Railroad by the State of NJ in 1971, the coaches are seen here on former Reading rails thirty-eight years later. This set spent the morning in the West Trenton Yard for crew training before returning back to Pennsylvania.

Two rapid transit lines, PATCO and PATH, take commuters to Philadelphia and New York, respectively. Metro North locomotives and rolling stock often show up on NJ Transit northern lines and SEPTA terminates routes in Trenton and West Trenton.
