| Battle of Britain Class no. 34067 Tangmere stands in Clapham Yard after it had arrived at London Waterloo with a main line special from Portsmouth Harbour. Later, the loco would return to the South Coast. Note that a Class 47 diesel is at the end of the train. Unfortunately, this is necessary to allow for reversing the stock from Waterloo and to insure against a steam loco failure. |
