Rotary OY made it to Cumbres, but that was enough for the first day and it backed away for an overnight rest. There have been a couple of questions about the"layering" of the snow. This was just east of the road crossing at Cumbres, and the road is plowed during the winter. My guess is the layers of dirt are the result of sand and dirt being thrown on top of fresh snow each time the highway plow went by. But just a guess on my part.
