I remember riding this train from Joliet to Springfield to visit Grandma. I also remember Mom telling us "Don't touch the train, it's filthy." Ah, memories...great photo, Gerald. |

I live in Decatur about 40-miles from Springfield. These GM&O shots are classic. The station is still there and serves Amtrak. I believe the liquor store on the corner in this shot is now a tavern. Thanks for sharing Gerald. |
