My visit to the Mount Washington Railway was very much influenced by the great pictures of the operation I saw here. And I was not disappointed. "The Cog" is a fascinating steam operation, and I'm glad I made it during what may be its last all steam fall color season. The picture shows the second section of the 9 a.m. departure leaving the base station, with the smoke and steam of the first section in the distance.
