During peak tourist seasons, the Mount Washington Cog Railway often adds sections to its hourly trains to accomodate the loads. In this shot, the B-Section of the noontime train fills its 700 gallon tender at Waumbek Tank as the A-Section continues its climb toward the summit. BTW, the tiny little white speck above the smoke plume is not dust...it's a glider, which literally spent the whole day circling the summit.
Beautiful mountain scenery has made this small state a draw for rail buffs to ride the Mount Washington Cog Railway and the Conway Scenic, among others.
